| Introducing Lucido
Cigars... |
|
The search started about 5
years ago when smoking Cuban Cigars with a friend in Tokyo’s prestigious cigar
bar …yes we used to pay 20,000 yen per head... At some point you
just don’t notice it…the money goes in smoke. Fine! I love Tokyo! Really, the
thoughts were lucid-clear…where do we find
good smoke… for next to nothing? It took some time, research; (talking to people who produce the best cigars
in various regions…Nicaragua, The
Dominican Republic etc…) and a lot of smoke…we call it
research too! We found the
smoke! ...same quality (or better) then for what we
used to pay big Yen…

We
only buy our
hand made
cigars
from
recognized factories… that explains the quality of the smoke, so you can rest
easy concerning quality.

| The Non Cuban cigars... |
|
Cuba
- historically the premier cigar manufacturing country has seen not only
drop in the quality of her cigars but also serious stock shortages.
Nicaragua, The
Dominican Republic
and other countries in and around the Caribbean, have not only improved the
quality but also created new blends, which are often superior to many well
known Cuban brands.
|
The Dominican Republic Situated to the south-east of Cuba, the Dominican Republic is steeped in the traditions of handmade cigar making. The ideal combination of climate and soil, together with the experience of master cigar makers, deliver all that connoisseurs regard as outstanding in premium
cigars. Generally
mild to medium-bodied.
|
|
|
Honduras Honduras has become one of the main suppliers of fine handmade cigars and continues to increase in
popularity. Mostly
stronger and fuller-bodied. |
Brazil Inland from Salvador in the Brazilian state of Bahia, Cuban immigrants have found fertile ground for premium cigars and wrapper production. The region's unique climate allows for two cuts on each planting of tobacco, making Brazilian yields higher than average. Cuban seed tobacco - Sumatra and Bahia, a sweet, big leaf tobacco excellent for use as long filler. |
|
|
Nicaragua Well-made
cigars back on the market after political changes in 1990. The cigars draw well with a medium
flavor and a peppery aftertaste.
Mostly
stronger and fuller-bodied. |
